The Bangor S-Class Archive

Shejenka was traced in 2012 to Whiterock Boatyard on Strangford Lough, and in the absence of firm information the guess is that her sail number is 21, built in 1963 or 1964. She has varnished topsides and a raised doghouse very like Quinsibar - these last two boats built are are the only ones to have deviated from the classic low cabin roof of the original S-Class design. The first owner of Shejenka was Alex Murdoch of the Royal Ulster Yacht Club. He devised her name from the names of his daughters - Sheila, Jennifer and Katherine or Kathleen.
